On 7 April 1994, FedEx Flight 705, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, Suffered an attempted hijacking, Auburn Calloway, a disgruntled employee, attempts the hijacking armed with hammers and a speargun. Despite sustaining serious injuries, And putting the plane through maneuvers learned as a fighter pilot, the crew successfully subdue Calloway and land the aircraft safely at an airport in Memphis, Tennessee.
