About the Author

Steve Asbell started a blog called The Rainforest Garden to share the progress of the garden that he planted for his terminally ill mother, and is in the process of starting a garden for his soon-to-be born son. Asbell currently lives with his wife Jennifer in Jacksonville, Florida, where he makes his living as a writer, blogger and illustrator. His illustrations have appeared on Ferry-Morse seed packets, on apparel and websites such as Gardening Gone Wild and Southern Living online. His projects and writings have been featured on Apartment Therapy, Mashable, Mother Earth News and several publications. Plant by Numbers is Asbell's first book, but it won't be his last.
