Questa volta Herbie "sbarca in Messico" o sarebbe meglio dire approda al Messico. dopo
essere stato buttato a mare come un clandestino indesiderato, mentre veniva trasportato in
Brasile dai suoi nuovi padroni per parteciapre ad un gran premio automobilistico. Nel
corso del viaggio fa conoscenza con un simpatico monello, Paco, un ladruncolo che mette in
difficoltà sia i proprietari del maggiolino, sia una banda di ricettatori che devono
esportare dalla giungla alcuni tesori d'oro degli Incas.
