ViewMate is a program designed for viewing CAD data stored in Gerber Technology files. The application not only imports CAD and CAM aperture data and displays its contents, but also provides powerful editing tools. This application was specifically designed as a viewer, so saving or exporting files is not possible. The user interface is not the easiest to understand due to its wide range of features. The software imports several Gerber data formats (such as Basic Gerber, Gerber Extended, and MDA Autoplot) and converts HPGL, drill, and aperture data to Gerber upon import. You can also insert, delete, or edit D-code definitions. The program allows you to perform several actions, such as enabling layer visibility, displaying panels, traces, and selected elements, changing selected elements to white or a contrasting color, zooming in and out, panning the screen, and displaying the properties of specific elements. It also provides positioning and measurement tools, such as cursor position and coordination, a full-screen cursor, a screen grid, and marked locations.
