From the course:
Same Simple Approach Powerful New Openings
Skip the endless memorization. Skip the crazy theoretical lines that may never actually appear in your games. Keep it simple with robust, practical lines you can play against any defense for the win.
Thatās the award-winning formula International Master Christof Sielecki is bringing back in this installment of his popular Keep It Simple series.
This time, heās going back to the kingās pawn opening, recommending completely different lines than his original Keep It Simple: 1.e4 - giving you a complete White repertoire in less than 400 trainable lines.
More Fight, Less Memorization
And while his original 1.e4 repertoire was super solid, this one offers a rich, dynamic alternative that offers even more fight while keeping true to the Keep It Simple philosophy.
So whatās different? Hereās a peek inside:
ā Pull out the power against 1ā¦e5 with the Ruy Lopez. āKeep It Simpleā does not mean pulling punches! So youāll learn the simple way to exert the toughest opening pressure against 1ā¦e5 - while keeping play lively in the drawish Berlin Defense and avoid the theory-heavy Marshall Attack
ā Take Blackās tactics out of the Sicilian. With the Rossolimo and Moscow variations with an early Bb5, youāll disrupt Blackās usual tricks and set up a dominating centerā¦or an endgame Black will hate you for
ā Put the French Defense to the test with the Tarrasch Variation (3.Nd2). Squeeze Black in the center, start up the kingside attack early, and watch them sweat!
ā Leave Black with a āno plan Caro-Kannā. With the Exchange Variation, youāll all but guarantee active play for your pieces⦠while Black shuffles around looking for a strategy
ā And much more. If itās played with any frequency at all after 1.e4, itās covered! That means Scandinavian (1ā¦d5), Pirc (1ā¦d6), Modern (1ā¦g6), Alekhine Defense (1ā¦Nf6) and all those annoying pet sidelines.
Simple, without Cutting Corners
And just because itās a complete repertoire in less than half the size of your typical opening course, that doesnāt mean youāre copping out on your opening prep. Far from it!
Though less than 400 trainable lines, this courses comes with over 200,000 words of explanation and 50+ hours of video. Meaning you can stop at just the core variations, or dive deeper depending on your desire and study time. But rest assured, IM Sielecki's thorough explanations will prepare you for the middlegame with compelling plans and promising setups. So even if your opponent deviates from the lines you know, you can play on with confidence.
This approach is the very same that won IM Sielecki the 2021 Chessable Course of the Year Award for his course Keep It Simple for Black. And at this point, heās got it down to a science - as youāll see in full display in the course.
