Host Dean Ipaviz leads a team of highly-skilled craftspeople who, from their special workshop, try to rescue the cherished possessions of Australians. Each week families bring along their damaged historical treasures in the hope they can be repaired. As each item is painstakingly restored, we hear the personal stories behind the heirloom and why it's so cherished by the family.
Upholsterer Britta refurbishes an immigrant steamer trunk; horologist Andrew puts the tick-tock back in a century-old heirloom pocket watch; metalworker Majella is tasked with restoring a vintage pedal car.
