About the Author
Dr. Schaeffer is presently Associate Professor of Biology at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland, where his primary responsibility is teachingHuman Anatomy and Physiology to nursing and allied health students. He also regularly teaches Th e Human Body in Health and Disease, Nutrition, and Medical Terminology and Ethics. Dr. Schaeffer is married with three children, two stepchildren, and a granddaughter. He and his wife, Gay, keep busy attending the school activities and sporting events of their children. In the warmer months, they enjoy motorcycling and try to log as many miles on their Harley as their hectic schedule allows. He also enjoys spending time in the kitchen and watching the Food Network and the Cooking Channel for tasty, new ideas.
