“You'll never see me again,” said Smiles and then she disappeared. In a few hours her new husband starts a search for her to no avail. The police enter the case and the husband is on the verge of being jailed, but he talks the detective into a last reprieve during which he finds something that starts the two of them on a feverish search in which excitement and suspense are crowded into each passing minute.
