It is the story of human beings: what they felt, how they acted, the dreams they nurtured, the emotions through which they passed." and continued to point out,"You cannot understand the civil war unless you understand the emotions … think of emotions out of control, you have to, it's a necessary element in understanding the civil war."
This book summarizes 132 little incidents in the war. Not one of them affected the outcome of the struggle, but they reveal in different ways the deep and sincere feelings that form the very foundation of the war itself.
