I can say that this particular series has...
lots of martial combat, heaps of cop based action
(incl. Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Eddie Murphy, Nick Nolte, Steven Seagal, Mel Gibson, and oh so many more).
But there is also a strong supernatural and Sci Fi factor to the series, there's mutants, aliens, cyborgs, time travel, robots, and even demonic sources, magic, sorcery, and even...  good old fashioned gun fights and car chases.
