Un avocat fort coincé, Archie Leach, flanqué d'une épouse snob, une belle americaine sexy, Wanda, aux jambes qui n'en finissent pas, son fougueux "latin lover" Otto, ex-agent de la CIA, un grand timide et ami des bêtes, Ken Pile, un poisson exotique nomme Wanda qui finit tristement dans l'estomac d'Otto et, enfin, George, minable gangster dans l'esprit duquel germe le enième hold-up du siècle. Tel est l'équipe de gagnants qui composent cette comédie policière, dans laquelle chacun d'entre eux va essayer de tirer profit de l'autre.
