A great unknown masterpiece of Australian cinema, Clay is unlike anything made in the country,
before or since. The story is simple. Driving home in the teeming rain somewhere in rural
Australia, an elderly man and his daughter, later revealed to be potters and painters,
come upon the exhausted figure of a man who has been fleeing from the police.
