Kenji Shimizu (Hidetoshi Nishijima) is a writer. He goes to a resort hotel with his wife (Sayuri Oyamada) for a one week vacation. Kenji Shimizu is bored with his wife and is also in a slump with his writing. He decides to get a job. Kenji just kills time at the resort hotel. A couple, that includes an older man (Takeshi Kitano) and a beautiful young woman (Shiori Kutsuna), catches Kenji's eyes. Kenji follows the couple.
