Darren Wilson - Trilogy
1 - Finger of God (2007)
http://fingerofgod.wpfilm.com
Manna appearing in the Pentagon. Gemstones fallling from the sky. Teenagers healing perfect strangers on the street. This isn't old time religion. This is a new beginning. A spiritual revolution. This is the Finger of God. Prepare to go on a dizzying journey around the world--from the streets of Northern California to the mud huts of Africa; from the undergound church in China to the Gypsies in Eastern Europe--you will be challenged and encouraged by the extraordinary things God is doing in our world today. Born out of filmmaker Darren Wilson's personal journey of two years and hundreds of hours of footage, Finger of God will show you a world you never knew existed. A world of hope and courage. A world where God's fingerprints are found in the unlikeliest of places.

2 - Furious Love (2010)

Furious Love was conceived before Darren Wilson had even finished his first film, Finger of God. He was in Istanbul, Turkey, and Heidi Baker, a missionary from Mozambique, began to pray for him. In the midst of her prayer, she suddenly saw, in her spirit, Darren filming the occult and demonic. The the Lord gave her this word for Darren: âYou must go into the darkness to show the light.â Neither Darren or Heidi had the slightest clue what any of this might mean, and the last thing on Darrenâs mind at that point was a âsequelâ to Finger of God, which he still had yet to even put together!
3 - Father of Lights (2012)

video: 592 x 336, 1 Hour 47 Mins
Through filming incredible spiritual encounters around the world, Darren Wilson cuts through religious misconceptions in an effort to find the true nature and character of God.
From skeptic to believer
The story begins six years ago.
âThe person who has been changed the most by these films is definitely me,â Darren says, looking back.
âI was barely a Christian when I started making Finger of God. Very skeptical of everything and didnât believe God did much these days. What I believe now is 180 degrees different to what I believed before. Itâs amazing to me to see how God has used it and touched millions around the world by these strange little films that I make. Itâs been pretty awesome.â
Looking back, Darren said he used to be skeptical about miracles.
âI believed God could do stuff and I believed he did, I just didnât believe he did it very much because I never saw it. I would hear missionaries come to church and tell me about all the miracles. Youâd hear about the occasional stuff happen to someone in church went to the doctor and something was changed. I was really insulated. I went to my little church and didnât see very much.â
What I believe now is 180 degrees different to what I believed before.
Not only was Darren skeptical and uninterested in the miraculous, he didnât want to be a filmmaker either! Before Finger of God he was an English professor. He describes his first film as a fluke.
âI didnât want to do it. Iâd never made a movie before in my life. My first interview ever was with Bill Johnson and it took me five minutes to figure out how to turn on the camera.â
Unfamiliar with his equipment, Darren was starting from scratch. But believing God had told him to start the project, he went all over the world filming God heal people, even giving some of them gold teeth and gemstones. His skepticism was demolished, and if youâve seen the film, youâll know why. After the âfireworksâ, Darren put the 90 minute documentary up on Amazon.com and walked away.
Just a guy with a camera
Next thing the now film producer knew, the movie had become a cult hit, going global as thousands watched the film. When I ask Darren for the most common piece of feedback from audiences, he doesn't hesitate. "Your films have changed my life." But this life-changing quality is not dependent on aesthetics, as Darren well knows.
âFinger of God looks terrible, sounds terrible and everything is technically bad. But what Iâm realising now is thatâs part of the appeal for people. Itâs so obviously not a scam. I donât know what Iâm doing. Itâs just a guy with a camera. It gives it that realism that people respond to. Once it took off I knew we had to do another one.â
The result was Furious Love â a film even more mind-blowing than Finger of God. Travelling to some of the worldâs darkest spiritual climates, Darren was putting Godâs love to the test. Witnessing what happened when Godâs love broke into the most tragic of circumstances resulted in a hard hitting, emotionally intense and awe inspiring movie.
Will Darren be able to top his other two films? Finger of God was a very low budget production. In terms of quality, and arguably content, the leap to Furious Love was monumental. Darren is excited as he tells me the jump from Furious Love to Father of Lights is greater still.
Discovering the Father's heart
Eager to get a preview of what fans can expect in the final film of the trilogy I ask Darren for more details on the content.
âItâs about the fatherâs heart ultimately. Who the father really was. When you talk about the trinity the Father gets all the bad press. Jesus is the cool one, the Holy Spirit is super mysterious and then youâve got the Father who everyone blames everything on. I wanted to get to his personality and discover his character.
âIn my opinion this [Father of Lights] is the most important of the films and itâs by far the best. People are resonating with it so amazingly because itâs revealing the heart of the Father. To see heâs not mad, heâs not sad or upset, heâs happy and is crazy about you. Itâs about the heart of the gospel.
We also have a scene that everyone is talking about where we take on the most powerful witch doctor in Southern India
Darren claims heâs saved the best till last with a âbig crowd pleaserâ at the end of the film.
âItâs the most surprising crazy ending youâll ever see. Iâm not spoiling it when I say we get into the Dome of the Rock in Israel which is completely off limits to non Muslims. We managed to not only go in there and film but proclaim Jesus as Lord in their holy of holies. Itâs not that we did it, itâs how we did it. Itâs the most miraculous thing youâll ever see. Itâs been bringing down the house everywhere we show it.
âWe also have a scene that everyone is talking about where we take on the most powerful witch doctor in Southern India,â he adds casually. âThatâs pretty wild!â
Enjoy.
