George Caldwell wordt tijdens een treinreis verliefd op de vrouw in het compartiment naast hem. Dan ziet hij echter dat het lijk van een vermoorde man van de trein wordt gegooid en gaat hij op onderzoek uit. Zodra de daders bemerken dat Caldwell een getuige was, besluiten ze hem ook van de trein te gooien.
Storyline
A somewhat daffy book editor on a rail trip from Los Angeles to Chicago thinks that he sees a murdered man thrown from the train. When he can find no one who will believe him, he starts doing some investigating of his own. But all that accomplishes is to get the killer after him.
