De niet zo heel korte animatiefilm (22 minuten) is een nieuwe
interpretatie van de gelijknamige klassieker van Charles Dickens.
Zo speelt Grouchy (Moppersmurf) de rol van Ebenezer Scrooge en
wordt hij bezocht door de geesten uit het verleden, het heden
en de toekomst.

Opvallend is dat in het filmpje de combinatie van live action
en computeranimatie (zoals die in de recente bioscoopfilm
The Smurfs was te zien) wordt afgewisseld met de traditionele,
handgetekende animatie (zoals in de oude tekenfilmserie).

Storyline:
