Uli Jon Roth (born Ulrich Roth, 18 December 1954) is a German guitarist, who became famous as the Scorpions lead guitarist, and is one of the earliest contributors to the neoclassical metal genre. He is also the founder of Sky Academy and inventor of the Sky Guitar. He is the older brother of fellow guitarist and artist Zeno Roth.

In the early 1970s, Roth was lead guitarist, main songwriter and occasional lead singer for the Scorpions.

Roth has been on the covers of many guitar magazines and has influenced many notable guitar players, including Kirk Hammett, Marty Friedman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Stump, Gus G, Andy DiGelsomina, Michael Romeo, James Byrd, Wolf Hoffman and  Hank Shermann of Mercyful Fate.  
The bottom line is...Roth is a badass with an axe. And I have decided to share some of it with you.  Cause Im just that kind of guy.
And mostly because I can.
